Mona Ahmadi
Mona Ahmadi is a Tehran-based actress and playwright with an extensive background in theater. She is a member of the Bohemi Theatre Collective, with whom she has collaborated for over ten years. Ahmadi has played leading roles in several of Amirreza Koohestani’s acclaimed productions, including Hearing and Summerless, with over 200 performances at theater festivals across Europe, Asia, and South America.She began her acting journey at the age of 17, later pursuing formal theater studies and graduating from the University of Tehran in 2016. Ahmadi made her professional film debut in The Child and the Angel in 2008. Since then, she has appeared in films showcased at prestigious international festivals, including the Venice Film Festival and the Locarno Film Festival.
Shima Arab
Shima Arab is a theater maker and puppeteer based in Tehran. As a member of the Bohemi Theater Collective, she has collaborated for over ten years, honing her craft and contributing to the vibrant theater scene. In her works, She aims to offer a personal and experimental perspective on the art of puppetry, which she showcased in her productions of "Pinocchio" and "Northern Lands," both of which garnered positive audience and critics acclaim. Arab began her theater education at the age of 18, ultimately earning both bachelor‘s and master’s degrees from the University of Tehran.
Fariborz Karimi
Fariborz Karimi (Tehran, 1990) is a theater maker, performer and writer living in Amsterdam. He obtained his bachelor‘s degree in Directing and Acting from Tehran University in 2013, and graduated from the master’s degree at DAS Theater (Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten) in 2023.
With his artistic practice, Fariborz asks socio-political questions through autobiographical and fictional stories, blurring the line between dream and reality.
Fariborz works Has been supported by different residencies such as Hellerau(Dresden, DE), BUDA centrum (Kortrijk, BL), WorkspaceBrussels (Brussels,BL), Theater Rotterdam Productiehuis (Rotterdam, NL). His works have been shown at international festivals and venues such as ITs Festival (Amsterdam, NL), ITFok Kerala (India), ACT Bilbao (Spain), BOZAR (Brussels, Belgium), Amsterdam Fringe Festival (Amsterdam,NL) and Festival Cement (Den Bosch, NL).
Nasrin Khorami
Nasrin Khorami (1989), is an accomplished costume designer with a Bachelor‘s degree in Fashion Design and a Master’s in Illustration from the Art University of Tehran. She has been a member of the Bohemi Theater Collective since 2013, where she has explored diverse styles of costume creation in different performances of the group. Nasrin has contributed to over 50 projects with Iranian and international theater festivals such as Holland Festival. Her work has earned her the Best Costume Designer award at the City Theater Festival and recognition as the Most Active Costume Designer at the Fajr Theater Festival. Beyond theater, she teaches art and creativity to children and youth and organizes exhibitions to showcase their work at prestigious venues.
Shakiba Fadaee
Shakiba is a multifaceted artist with over 15 years of international acting experience, currently based in Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Acting and Directing from the University of Tehran, a Master of Arts in Art Research from the same university, and Master of Arts in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies from the University of Toronto. Shakiba has been a dedicated member of the Bohemi Theatre Group since 2011.
Her expertise includes over a decade in educational drama and applied drama as a tool for social activism, along with more than 8 years of experience in drama and art therapy. Currently, Shakiba is also pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University, where her research and passion focus on the transformative role of art in personal and social change.
Navid Fayyaz
Navid Fayaz (b. 1989, Iran) is a Brussels-based multidisciplinary artist, working across performance, photography, and digital storytelling. He holds a Bachelor‘s degree in Theater Directing and Acting from the University of Tehran. His passion for interdisciplinary storytelling led him to pursue a postgraduate program in Digital Storytelling at KASK School of Arts in Ghent, which he completed in 2022. This experience has added another dimension to Navid’s practice, enabling him to explore narrative across various mediums.
